Gilmore Reel carries a three year conditional warranty covering all parts and workmanship under normal use and conditions. An additional three year extended warranty can be purchased at the end of the original warranty to total six years. This warranty provides that your Gilmore Reel will be repaired and serviced at no charge (other than shipping) to the original owner. The warranty covers the necessary replacement or repair of any part that fails due to design or manufacturing defect. Damage or loss caused by accident, misuse, acts of god, or anything outside the realm of normal use is not covered under this warranty. The disassembly of the Gilmore Reel Drag Capsule or the Pawl Ratchet assembly will void this warranty. See your parts diagram for identification of these assemblies. This warranty applies to the original purchaser or gift recipient who registers their Gilmore Reel within 90 days of purchase. You must submit a Warranty Registration by mailing your Warranty Registration card to Gilmore Reel within 90 days of receipt for your limited lifetime warranty to be valid. Non-registered reels will still be covered under this warranty only if submitted with an original register/computer printed purchase receipt showing date of purchase, store purchased from, name of purchaser, and price. Reels marked as "Guide Reel" will only be warranted to the original purchasing guide only. For repairs not covered by the warranty, a quotation will be forwarded to the owner for approval before repairs proceed. No repair costs will exceed the value of a replacement reel MSRP. Gilmore Reel will decide if reel will be repaired or replaced. If the model is no longer in production, Gilmore Reel reserves the right to repair the reel or replace the reel with a current equivalent model. All reels sent in for servicing from within the United States must include $15 (check or money order) for return postage, handling, and shipping insurance. International shipments will be quoted during service arrangement and will be the responsibility of the owner. Gilmore Reel reserves the right to change any aspect of this warranty policy in the future if required. However, your warranty will be the warranty policy in existence at the time of your purchase and registration.
